Or like realizing that you’re all grown up now and that, well, now that you’re thinking about it, you’re actually doing…pretty great, really…yeah, everything’s been really great lately.

Wear Style

Gender-full, as opposed to unisex, Janus performs a transition on the skin, beginning with an opening of gruffer, darker notes that many will interpret as more classically masculine before fading into light greens, white florals, and transparent vegetal notes that many associate with classically feminine perfumes. And while Janus is linear in terms of its pure materiality—as its formula depends on just one jaw-droppingly gorgeous vetiver material flanked by only a very select set of supporting accent materials—its wearing experience it offers is anything but linear: this is, like all of of Chronotope’s perfumes, a fragrance that resists linearity and evolves even somewhat dramatically over time.

It’s named Janus for a reason, after all.
