A perfume for friends & fools

Chronotope perfume’s Cucurrucucu EdP lies in a shimmering nest of fabric in the same gunmetal silver-grey color as the thumbprint on the perfume bottle’s label.

“[…] it’s strange and admirable and kind of glorious, in its own, unique way. ”
—u/divinationobject, via Reddit

Genuine, sustainably sourced copal negro radiates emerald brilliance for hours through layers of smoke, mezcal, ink, orris, and anisic wormwood in this foolhardy, lovedrunk, and surprisingly delicate balancing act between Mexican incense twirling to the sky and a specialty cocktail, held up high.

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT CUCURRUCUCÚ EAU DE PARFUM

Structure

Absinthe, Wormwood, Smoke, Pine, Papyrus, Orris, Angelica Root, Mezcal, Copal Negro, Saffron, Ink, Charred Hinoki Wood, Cade Tar, Muskrat, Cedar Wood

Feeling

Punch-drunk & celebratory — like looking at your bestie doing something awesome and being like, “that’s my bestie!”

Presence

Cucurrucucú shines brilliantly on all bodies. And there’s quite the kick of smoke, from cade tar, up front. That said, the smoke isn’t a solo player within the composition, as the laser-beamed emerald brilliance of the copal negro oil shines through the smoke from the jump and clears it away rather quickly to allow the perfume’s other notes their due.

Projection

Cucú is delightfully diffusive, and though it has one of the furthest throws in our collection, it’s not so large and obnoxious that you’ll clear out a space. Don’t be delulu and fear the absinthe and mezcal notes, though: nobody will mistake you for a drunk. But they might wonder how it’s even possible that you smell like the Emerald City.

What Wearers Say

”I really like this […] Really nice smoky, woodsy scent. If you’re worried about the angelica and the wormwood being […] so bitter green, here they’re just very, very well blended.”

”I suppose some perfumes try to transform you and presume they know who you ought to be […] but if I’m using perfume for transformation, I like to be calling the shots as to the how and what of it instead of the smell […] I think about this difference a lot, and it comes to mind with smells like Cucurrucucú. It takes you somewhere. It makes you wonder who you might be in this reality. It doesn’t dictate it; it asks a question. It wears off and you get to think about the experience of it. It’s one of my favorite things about perfume—the moment of transformation.”
